Offering nowAbout the shop
Tracy White does not believe candy shops should be boring. She and Jerry built Sugar Shenanigans so Nitro would have a place that feels like a detour and a destination at the same time.
The first storefront opened beside Light the Night with the Charleston Dirty Birds. The shop outgrew that chapter. On February 14, 2026 they reopened at 14 Bank Street after snow pushed the ribbon. Gertrude, the giant gumball display, came with them.
Inside: candy from your childhood, the viral stuff from this month, and sweets from around the world. Swedish candy, British chocolate, freeze-dried bags, a pickle shelf, fruit pastries that are not fruit, and a case of things the kitchen made that morning.
There’s a second stand at GoMart Ballpark in Charleston. Game days, and every night of Light the Night. The mix there isn’t a photocopy of Bank Street.
About 17,000 people follow along on Facebook. If you’re trying to find a specific bar before you drive, that’s the fastest place to look — or just text the shop.
