Come in for candy from your childhood, the viral stuff, and sweets from around the world. Birthdays and custom orders, we do those too. This is the happiest candy store around, and Gertrude the gumball display lives here.

The shop
Home of Gertrude.
Tracy and Jerry White opened the doors because a candy shop should not be boring. Downtown Nitro got the new Bank Street store on Valentine’s Day 2026. Gertrude, the giant gumball display, is the first thing you see. The second is usually a flavor you watched on your phone last night.
There’s another stand at GoMart Ballpark in Charleston — Dirty Birds games and every night of Light the Night. Different counter, same family.
